How can I help?

F.A.Q

How do I book a class?

Use the booking page to buy single or package classes. Classes are reserved through an online calendar and  you will be provided with a recurring Zoom or GoogleMeet link we use for the duration of your lessons.

What do we do in an accent reduction class?

I will use custom worksheets to practice a single sound, explaining the physical placement, then practicing that sound in single words, sentences, paragraphs and then free chat. The lessons are cumulative as we add more and more sounds, always giving time to remind, review and practice.

How many A.R. classes will I need?

The quick answer-- 10-15 Classes or as few as 3. But it depends on several factors--1) how "thick" your accent is, 2) how much of it you'd like reduce, 3) how much you practice. Accent Reduction, like other long term habits, (meditation, working out, eating well) need diligent attention and routine practice. But like other habits, simple steps each day make a huge difference. What I love about my teaching method is you are improving and learning every class.

Do I need an assessment?

Nope! Having worked with hundreds of people around the world, I can access your accent range in the time it takes to introduce yourself. Then we get right to work.

What do we do in a public speaking class?

Public Speaking classes also use custom worksheets to address physical or verbal elements in your own presentations, or general speech and physical lessons. As always--there are tailored to your needs

How many public speaking classes will I need?

It may vary from 3-10 classes depending on your needs and whether we are refining an upcoming presentation, or working on general techniques.

Are half hour or hour classes better?

Both have value. Hour classes allow for more practice and correction time, half hour classes fit easily into your busy schedule. For Presentation Preparation classes I recommend hour classes

Working with Heather was amazing! She's incredibly professional, positive, and helpful. I needed this training for work but hadn’t made much progress on my own, which was getting discouraging. But today, she got me excited and completely re-inspired to practice my accent, and I even made progress in my first class!
